Would anyone know if the the head gasket is needed as well or just the valve gasket?

I wouldn't change a head gasket as preventative maintenance on these cars.

No need to change timing chain, or valve cover gasket (unless leaking) definitely not head gasket unless it is blown. PCV valve only needs changing if busted up. Can remove it and make sure it rattles.

Replace the batteries in all remotes. You never know when they were last changed and you don't want to be stuck.

What about changing spark plugs?

Clean air filter/replace.

good 100k tip: Remove the serp belt, and spin the tensioner pulley by hand. Also spin the one below it. If they are noisy/dry, replace them.

you could replace the bearing, but it will be difficult to source.
