I always wanted brighter high beams for the back road but didn't want to run the risk of being ticketed for running too bright lights. Now with the S2000's extra bright and legal HID's I think I can sneak in 100W high beams.

Questions... 1. Can the S2000's wiring handle 100W bulbs?

2. Can the plastic headlight lenses handle

the 100W bulbs?

3. I have read somewher that PIAA has

introduced a super white bulb. Does

anyone have a part number?

Much as I hate to say this but "do a search".

These issues have been pretty well thrashed out. Some pretty trick photoshop overlays of various light patterns/intensities too from one of our more studious posters (he's good looking too, or so I've heard)

Original wiring will not handle 100W, they are only good for up to 85W. If you want the PIAA Plasma White or Blue H1s in 100W upwards then get the PIAA wiring for the S2K as well. Not that they're gonna cost you another arm or leg. As for the plastic headlight lens, they aren't gonna bail you out either since they're made from high heat resistant thermoset materials.

I went with 55 watt Piaa Super Plasma bulbs. Piaa claims they put out about 100 watts. I am quite happy with them.

Also found as 55W Piaa "Platinum" bulbs. Definite improvement over standard Halogens.

Aus, maybe it depends on exactly what you're replacing but I put a Piaa Platinum H4 into my BMW R1200C's headlight and it made a "night-n-day" difference in brightness. I swear by it and spread the word...
