Default 1st gear problem

First off, let me say my shift knob goes into first and all the other gears just fine, but my car wont move forward normal entering first. When Im at a stop in neutral, it seems the car wont move forward until my clutch pedal is almost all the way up as I give it gas. My shift knob shifts/moves smoothly into 1st and all the other gears though. The car reacts to all the other gears though just fine, except 1st. I dont launch and dont drive my car carelessly/very hard. I even had my clutch replaced by another stock one a little over a year ago due to it slipping bad. Im at 66K miles. My car is driveable now, but Im affraid it may get worse to where I might be stalling each time I enter first if it persists. Or can it even get worse? Or could this all just be in my head? I have been known to be paranoid a few times then end up being wrong, lol.

Im confused.... your cars not supposed to move in neutral.... And if its in 1st it shouldnt move until you start letting go of the clutch and give it gas. What exactly is there problem here? Your car shouldnt move everytime you put it into 1st gear. Do you know how to drive a manual car?

Check your clutch fluid level and bleed the clutch. You may have air in your line.

hmm i think i know what your talking about..I could be wrong tho or something could be wrong with my car as well. But if you drove a manual before * like a different car * the clutch on the s2k has to be released more than another cars. When i drive the s2k i have to left go of the clutch about almost half way before the first gear catches on. I doubt anything is wrong with my car since its a 07 but Hey i could be wrong. =). If its not this then i dunno . GL with finding out

Thumbs up

Are you trying to say that your clutch bites higher than usual?

You should be able to adjust the contact point for your clutch. Mine is about 2/3 the way up. I've had cars that almost instantly engage at the floor, and others where I barely even had to touch the clutch pedal.
