2000 Top Being Replaced With 2003 - Need Help
I'm one of those people whose top has worn through, caused by the mechanism. I put the top up and down daily (or more) and my dealer has just agreed to replace the top.
Here's my problem:
He doesn't have instructions from Honda how to do this. He thought there was a kit sold, but cannot locate it in Honda. I believe there as least one other member here who has had it done, and moany others I found while searching about a month ago. But either those posts have been shredded, or the search mechanism is broke.
I've printed the DIU procedure posted in the Library, but what I'm looking for is someone who's had it done by the dealer, and that dealer's name. My Service manager is willing to call, and learn, so he can do mine. I'm also looking for leads on the defroster hookup, and kit if it's available.
If anyone could point me to the top-replacement threads, that would also be a help.
Thanks in advance,
Ray

Thanks, but I've already printed the DIU steps. My dealership is going to do it under warrantee.
BTW, it took a couple of trips to the dealership, and the service manager e-mailing pictures to California, but he fully agreed that it was caused by the mechanism (my tear is exactly like what's been pictured here), and should be replaced.
I don't actually know if the replacement was approved by Honda USA, or just this dealership's good will, since I did pay $3k over MSRP for the S2K, and did buy an Odyssey from them in 2001 for my wife.
