Need some advice here: My car is spitting out engine codes here is what was diagnosed:

Compression and Leakdown
#1 - 50/120 *LOW* 50% leak from exhaust valve
#2 - 90/210
#3 - 80/205
#4 - 70/160 *LOW* 77% leak from exhaust valve and bottom end

Blacktrax is saying we will need to rebuild the head to get the car back to good shape.

I honestly do not have the time to deal with this car any longer.

Does anyone have any advise as to what i should do with this car? Its low miles 70k and the rest of the car looks fairly good.

I would do a valve adjustment first (cold). drive it and get it warmed up to normal operating temps and do another compression test. then go from there. just a suggestion. oh and check the retainers when doing the valves for cracks.

 

we did do a valve adjustment. Didnt seem to help.

got access to a boroscope? might be able to see whats going on with that valve. good luck with finding the issue. hopefully something simple.
