2006 Intake arm in a 2002?

2006 Intake arm in a 2002?
Okay so I am aware that the intake changes in 2006 and that the intake is the same from 2000-2005, however is it possible to somehow use a 2006 intake on an ap1? Could I just close off the extra hose?
