Default 2006 s2k app sensor ?

I have a 2006 s2k that ive owned just over a year now...2 weeks ago i was driving it and the vsa light along with the engine light turned on wasnt sure what was wrong at the moment i was on the fwy....it just felt a little bit jerky.when i got off the fwy and came to a complete stop, on take off i had no power the car redlined at about 4k rpms maybe 3k, car would not go over 80mph.I took it to honda and they ran the engine light code and it came back as the app sensor? they tested it and nothing wrong with the car, I drove it home and it ran fine for a few days and it happened again.I went to honda yesterday and they said they will swap the sensor..my question is with this sensor gettting replaced will this problem go away or is this a more serious problem than that app sensor? is the app sensor doing its job and restricting the car for messing up something else?

This APP sensor seems to be giving problems for 06/07 models. I am starting to hear of more and more APP sensor failures

I just replaced the APP sensor on my 2007 S2K and it runs great again. With the old sensor it became a bucking bronco... now is smooth as silk.

APP is the accelerator pedal position sensor. My GF's app sensor went out on her TL and it had the same symptoms as your car.

When you say the car feels different... can you elaborate?
