I had a compression test done and the numbers were low across all cylinders. I was told I need the head rebuilt. My 2001 has 177k miles on it. Pretty much all socal traffic miles. I found a 2008 rebuilt head and was wondering if id be able to use it on the ap1 block. I dont know if it would be any different due to it being a dbw head. Thanks

 

The 2008 head is not machined for the air pump system, could be done though or just eliminate the system entirely.

 

I have no problem eliminating the air pump. Is there anything else?
