217.4 RWHP after VAFC install (Dyno Sheets)
S2K_LA,
What benefit are you looking for at partial throttle? More power? If so, hit the throttle harder. Better gas mileage? It would probably work as long as you reset your ECU frequently.
The VAFC works at WOT where you need more power, not at partial throttle where you aren't using the power that you already have.

Driving at WOT all the time isn't practical for me since I use my S2K as a daily driver (40K miles woo hoo!).
Even though I bought the car when I was 23.... I gave up my racing days when I got married
I just feel that holding out for a complete programmable ECU would be better for my situation in the long run. I could adjust A/F of the ECU for WOT and NON-WOT settings. I just don't want to plunk down $500+ to turn around and spend $1500+ for an ECU upgrade. I really do have my fingers crossed for the AEM unit. I hope it should allow us to program the linear power that would make WOT and NON WOT even better.

This last install is the most impressive results that I have had since the install of my Injen intake. RECAP: what I had so far before this last install was, a Spoon exhaust, spoon throttle body, and injen intake. My base HP to the wheels was 187.5 RWHP and 128.0 Trq.With teh install of the intake, it bumped up to 199.3 HP, and 137.0

It's a Injen Cold Air intake, and I did not lsoe any power anywhere. Just a nice gain throughout the entire rpm range.

My thing is the fact that I dont want to spend a lot of money for an intake to gain just beans. like it happened w/ my ex Celica. I rather dump that money into a supercharger unit and gain a lot of power.
