hey s2khomies...Im saving some dinero for my gears.

I have a contact in tampa that was recomended to me and he says all I need is the gears and an install and I would be good to go. HTG sells them pretty good but the cost of sending in a diff, and all the other stuff , price at the end gets crazy.

My contact is about ready to get me the gears, but I wanted to see if there is anything I should be worried about when installing the gears....I think it would be just plug an play...

Is there anything I should be worried about...Anyone here in miami have 4.77 so I can feel the diff. One person mentioned that having 4.77 with drag radials 0-80mph your next to a stock corvette?
Is this true...I dont think this is , but hey anything is possible..

i have the 4.77's and love them.if you do alot of hwy driving over 65 mph you might want to look into the 4.56/4.57.

Why do you want gears?

 

I want to get into V-tec faster, plus my run is up to about 110-mph

If I am going to be running on a 10-20 mph roll I need to get to 120 as quickly as possible as My car doesnt have any top end.

Ok .... what racing should I be doing , when I race 350z off the line I get a good 1 maybe 2 car jump....then once we get to 105 they creep up ....

Then there all like "ohhh I woulve had you " so its like damn If I get a good creep up or at least faster then them, they cant go at me....

Im na and it kinda sucks how the only way to be pretty fast is Turbo.

My bro has a z28 I/H/E and 4.10 gears (stock is 3.73) and he takes evos off the line ,and z06.

So I was thinking with better accel I can get to the end of my run quicker.

Its "safer" racing as you would put it... Im not saying I dont go at it with certain cars on the highway...

But I a bit more skillfull on my bike then in my S.

SO I leave the ziggzaggin on the highway to me and My GsXR

And Its not to 120mph , I stated in the previous post that that is where I have my advantage....if your telling me that your faster on highway then a modded 350 or srt-4 then I want to have what you have?
