Default 4th gear pops out

I've had the car for about 2 weeks now and my 4th gear has popped out out into neutral 3 times while cruising. I know Im fully in gear because I'm driving with it engaged for a bit. Does this happen to anyone else? I'm assuming it's when the syncros line up and it's possible to shift out of gear without the need to depress the clutch. The vibration is what is doing it. Should I be worried?

I had exactly the same problem. Got it fixed under warranty... I think it took a shaft/gear set replacement.

I had the same problem. Turned out to be the rubber boot (under the console cover) had popped up. Easy fix if this is what it turns out to be.

I also had the same problem, which Honda repaired under warranty.
The dealer was a little slow to help out, so I showed them the service bulletin, TSB-01-100.
You can find a copy in the S2000 library forum.

Best of luck.

This happened to me as well. I would be more interested in hearing about this console cover, and how to check for issues.

You remove the gearknob, pop up the console (disconnecting any wiring) and have a look.

If it's the problem you just have to pop the plastic ring around the rubber boot back into place.

I hope that's all it is. I'll check in the morning. Thanks for the help.
