Angry On 6Psi / Rear End

On 6 psi how long will the rear end last if I dont floor it everywhere I go? Just an estimate.

2001 S2k

I have a big pile of money I wanted to dump into my car like and idiot but Im not sure whether to go N/A or Turbo. ( worried about the rear end ). With an N/A setup I have no idea what else to use or do other than using supertech valvetrain for the head.

It seems that the big killer for our diff is launching. You should be fine so long as you don't launch...but that might be hard to resist for long.

For a long term solution, send a PM to S2KPUDDYDAD...he's done some impressive stuff to make the diffs stronger.

So basically if your going over the stock HP rating whether it be Turbo or N/A its gonna screw up later on. ( Ive launched my car like 3 times the whole time ive had it )

Depends on the NA hp...unless you are going stroker you should be ok to launch occasionally. My diff lasted 60k miles with maybe a total of 2 dozen launches in 6 years ownership with only bolt-on NA mods.

Personally, if I ever went FI or big stroker, I would be getting a reinforced diff to go along with it.

Well if I went N/A it would be supertech valvetrain, cams, port and polish, new ECU. I have Comptech Intake, HKS exhaust, stage 3 clutch, and flywheel already.

F/I setup would be a RevHard Turbo kit set at 6psi / with all new springs retainers and honda valves. and a Tune....

I dont launch my car ever after my friends diff. broke.

Im at work so I cant type a giant story about it, haha.

I just got a compression test done an hour ago and it was 197psi, 200psi, 185psi, 190psi. (124,000 miles). Im really leaning towards turbo but im unsure about turbo on stock internals. On youtube it looks as if its common to run turbo on stock internals. Thoughts???

add the ap2 delay valve, wallah! no more snapped diff. and 6 psi couldnt squash a fly, so no worries.
