Default 6th to 2nd, instead of 4th. Possible damage?

First, about my car.
MY01, Ultimate racing turbo kit. 750cc injectors. Tial WG w/ Dumptube.

About a month ago I was on the freeway doing about 50-55. A friend of mine was coming from behind really quickly to the lane left of me which was clear of cars. I intended to try to stick with him, he must have been going about 70-75. I took the shifter out of 6th and meant to put in into 4th but went to 2nd. I kicked the rpm enough for 4th, but it jerked pretty hard after throwing it into 2nd, was probably at around 6500-7000rpm or so. Can't really remember as I put it in fourth and tried to regain speed; decided not to play catch up.

I'm not sure if it's coincidental but since then when I'm in WOT, usually 3rd gear or higher (1st & 2nd pass to quickly) the sound of the dump tube isn't really there and I get this weird fluctuating noise, similar to being able to hear the wheel spin due to bad axles. I haven't taken the car to 9K since then. Thus, haven't really seen if I've had a loss in power.

The valvetrain seems excessively noisy- but I don't know if this is just me being paranoid.
The sound could even be from injectors.

I heard that if you bend a valve you'll usually get misfires at idle. I don't have a misfire at idle but when pressing the gas lightly I do misfire, regardless of gear. Does not happen when higher in revs though. Also, sometimes at start ups the car will sound exactly like a sti/wrx which mean it's misfiring. My guess was spark coils, waiting for them to come in.

Warmed up for 5-10minutes, compression test results.
Cyl 1: 180
Cyl 2: 170
Cyl 3: 160
Cyl 4: 180

I have not gone in for valve adjustment. But anyways, anyone have anything they could chime in? Likeliness of damage? Should I start looking for a new head?

Thanks for the help!

I doubt you did any damage. The RPM you hit in 2nd is nowhere near high enough.

That's good to hear, especially coming from you. I have to find out what that noise is then. Should probably change tct and get valve adjustment.

Sounds like the TCT from what I can hear from the video. I have 02 with 47k and I had to change mine two months ago. It was pretty simple to do.

Ah alright well I'll probably purchase billman's modified tct. If I'm lucky the ticking will stop, that just leaves my wot problem.
Thanks for your input!

Well thank god that didn't happen.
Does the turbo make different noises when it's going? Cracked dump pipe? Shiiiit. Sigh.

On an other note you should not skip shift your car at all, do some reading on s2ki about the transmission, skip shifting puts extra work on the syncros and will cost you 2-3k down the road.

Yeah I actually just read about that last week! I never skip now and I don't ever coast in neutral no matter how loud it is >.>
