Default '99 AP1 Clutch Slave Cylinder

Hello all,

I went and ordered an Ap1 clutch slave cylinder after mine decided to spring a not so wanted leak all over the shopping center car park!

Got it today, took the old cylinder off the car to find the new one wont fit.

Ive been searching ALL over the internet, none of them look like this. All the other slave cylinders look like this where they slot in:

Mine however isnt like that. Mine has a frame that goes round the slave cylinder. The rubber end on it instead of the new one having a ball type arrangement on it has a screw where it screws into this frame.

I'm very confused. Can go get some pictures but any ideas guys?

Who knows what was on a 99 JDM car, most of the DIY write ups on s2ki are from 00-04 US spec cars.

There is also a small group of aftermarket clutches that use Nissan slave cylinders and convert from a pull clutch to a push style.

Got a pic?

Looking at it earlier its the metal rod that does the pushing that snapped. Hopefully will find something that will do the job tomorrow as the actual unit seems fine. If all fails I will get some pics up.

I sorted it in the end, it was a part snapped where the cylinder pushes on a steal rod and onto the frame. Made a new peice up!

I have to adjust it some more as its making the clutch slip at low speeds in high gears. When I do it later today, I will get some snap shots. Ive searched the internet high and low and cant find anything like it on another s2k

YES its identical to that. I made a new peice where its snapped. It works but the clutch is slipping everywhere. It only engages at like 5k then slips and bites. At times it will bite straight away and at others slip to hell and back.

Any ideas? Really getting on my nervs. Tried adjusting the legths of the rods but makes no difference! Its like its contstantly pulling on the leaver connected to the gearbox, is that leaver ment to spring back because it doesnt...

Also, slow2k is that a honda s2000 pull clutch cylinder setup?

Sounds like you need to contact Carbonetic for replacement parts. You may have damaged the clutch disc when it broke
