ABS Modulator Control Unit Bleeding

Okay, so the circular area on the rear of the ABS Modulator Control Unit has started to accumulate some surface rust on my car, and its frustrates me everytime I look at it. I want to remove it to use a wire brush to clean and paint it. My question is, how do I bleed the ABS unit? According to the shop manual on page 19-59, it states start bleeding with front wheels. So do I just bleed it as i would a traditional gravity bleed or is there a special way to make sure that air is not in the ABS modulator control unit. Thanks for the help!

I used this to bleed my ABS unit

Thanks! That is perfect. So basically add fluid to the reservoir, let gravity help the fluid get down to the abs unit then follow these steps and it should be good to go?

Sure

This method doesn't make any sense. After bleeding the master cylinder air would be re introduced when plugging in disconnected line
