Default AC not working after turbo install

I got the inlinepro turbo kit installed a few days ago and I realized that the AC system is not working anymore. When I press the AC button, the little green light turns on but I don't hear the compressor turn on.

I was informed that none of the components were touched so it SHOULD be working but isn't. My first instinct was that I blew a fuse, problem is when I looked in the manuel, there was no fuse labeled "AC." There were 2 fuses named ACS, or something of the sort, I checked them and they were fine (I'm guessing they were the wrong fuses).

I also ran the self-diagonsis program for the air conditioning system (pressing the recirc button a few times upon turning the ignition key) and it came back with no troubleshoot codes .

Its not a very big deal now, but once the rain starts, a fogged up windshield won't be fun.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jonathan

The AC system may need to be recharged. I know they said the system wasn't touched, but if there was even a tiny hole created, all of your AC coolent (what us old guys call freon) could escape and the system could not make cold air. Just a thought.

yeah, no 'freon' wouldnt make any cold air....but wouldnt you still hear the a/c kick on? i say you look over the whole a/c system, see if there were any wires or plugs damaged or unclipped, then go from there.

I'm probably going to have to but wouldn't the self-diagnosis pick up on a cut wire somewhere and give me a code?

And like you said, even if I had low freon, I would think the system would still turn on just not get cold? Mine doesn't even turn on.

Well we got it working.

Actually, it got itself working. I turned it on again after a bit of a drive, and low and behold, it works again

My guess is, because I havn't used it in months maybe it was a little slow to react and needed the freon to get moving a bit.

Who knows

If your tuner did not properly tune your EMS, it could mess with your AC controls.

My issue was that I hadn't used the AC in a few months so it had to cycle a few times before it started to actually blow cold air
