ok another question is I'm using an AEM EMS by changing the map sensor do I have to reset my EMS?
This, I can't say, but if you know Shawn (UL), he's the master of MAP sensors on this car. It was he, who brought this whole thing to our attention years ago. Give him a call.

Anyone
Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you. I stayed quiet for a while because I don't know Shawn. However, I know XViper, and if he says you need to talk to Shawn and that Shawn knows his stuff then I'm sure Shawn is the man you need to talk with.

Again I apologize for not respoiding in a more timely manner.

Actually I do know UL, but didn't realize that was the Shawn we were talking about.

thanks guys for the input. Once again thanks a whole bunch xviper! I'll defintatly check this out. I also realize that this is only when i punch it into vtec. If i gradually go into vtec it's fine. Another point it that it only happens occasionally so i'm crossing my fingers to hope that this isn't my clutch.

Just an after thought. Is this motor supercharged like your last one? If so, what kind of plugs are you using? There have been some reports of experiences (myself included) of supercharged cars using Denso Iridium IK24 plugs. They have been known to give a high rpm miss at WOT, but then, the MAP sensor thing also gives a similar symptom.

the motor isn't supercharged =( i miss it at time but that's ok. I recently did a 30k maintenance and changed out the plugs to na spec plugs. I still have my 4.57 gears on. I also have a vafc tuned for my bolt ons (intake, header, exhaust, gears) would this affect it in any way. Any ways i'm taking my car out today and will be resetting the ecu and whacking the map a couple times. Hopefully this will fix it.

Have you done a diff fluid change lately? It would be useful to see how much stuff is glued onto the drain plug and what the fluid looks like (flecks). This may give you a clue as to how the diff is doing. This could be the souce of your "buzzing" if the diff was not calibrated just right to begin with and now it's wearing funny.
Certainly a VAFC "could" cause some engine running problems if something went wrong (degraded wire connections, ECU compensating for the settings, etc.)
When you deal with the MAP concentrate more on the wiring harness to ensure that it is wiggled around (to "freshen" up the connections) and to shove it on really securely. If this resolves anything, you should look into getting the new Honda zip tie mod to hold it down. It should only cost a few bucks or you can invent something on your own as I did.

yup i did the whole shabang minus the coolant flush. The diff fluid was changed, tranny, pollen filter, all the rubber seals under the gasket.

update* today i took my car out and after resetting the ecu and whacking the sensor a couple of times the hiccups comming from the engine is very minimal to the point were i'd say things are ok. xviper would you suggest that i pull the vafc off and test the car? It seems like its still there in the end of 2nd gear. 4th, and 5th seem good. At this point i'm hoping the noise is comming from my exhaust hangers? The car seems to run much better.

Now that the car is running better, I'd hate to see you go to the trouble of yanking out the VAFC. Do that as a last resort. I would suggest that a new MAP sensor and the new securing system might be a good thing. Our MAP sensor can be quite variable in quality even when new. This has been shown by Ultimate Lurker.
As for the noise, I'm afraid you're the best to locate that. Grab the exhaust tip and give it a good shake to see if you can duplicate the sound. Or you might have to jack it up and go under and give everything you see under there a good thump with your hand.
