Just ordered some of the redline stuff and some gauges to measure the gap of the valves. As for the spark plugs I currently have a set of NGK plugs in part number - BKR7EIX-11PS. I have previously checked the gap and they were in spec.

BKR7EIX-11PS.should be fine. The heat range (7) and gap (11) are the same as the OEM plugs. Be sure they're torqued tight enough, that spec changed after our cars went out of production. So endeth my spark plug knowledge.

Have you checked your fuel pump relay? I fixed mine and my car is running better than ever. The connections on the back side of the board go bad over time.

I removed the relay and took out the board inside, then resoldered the connection.

Weird issue - S2KI Honda S2000 Forums Here is my thread that detailed the issues I was having. The relay in question is the PGM-FI main relay. It's held on by one 10mm bolt, it's a bit of a PITA to get it. I used a small 1/4 ratchet, if you have the OEM seat you'll be able to get it with the seat in the car. If you have an aftermarket bucket seat you will have to remove it because there just isn't enough space for anyone except a small child. If you have a small child that's adept with hand tools should be easy.

Why would that one solder joint go bad unless it was heating up to a high degree?

I imagine starting the car for 23 years and 255k miles, lots of heat cycling will start to take its toll on that after a while.
