Default ACT Clutch: Which to one to buy?

I'm looking for an upgrade on my clutch. I don't know which to get? The Stock street disc from ACT, or the 4 pad race disc? I will be getting the full kit from ACT, but they ask you which one do you want as your clutch. I will not be doing any Drag racing on the car, very few street racing, but some auto cross & speed trial runs. Which one do you guys suggest? If any one knows of a better KIT, please reply.

Get the stock street disc. I have the ACT pressure plate with the factory stock disc and it works great.

I'm going with the street disc - the 4 puck unit is supposedly a little too harsh for street use. Their street clutch and HD pressure plate was supposed to be sufficient to deal with the SC/header/exhaust on my car and it put less shock on the drivetrain than the 4 puck unit.

The street disc that ACT provides when you buy their KIT, is it the same OEM disc? In their web-site it shows that it is. So why buy the whole KIT if the clutch is the same? If your clutch is new or nothing wrong with it, I think it will be smarter to buy just the pressure plate. right? I just found out that Spoon makes a KIT, CLUTCHMASTER,CENTERFORGE, are these better than the ACT KIT?

That what I did, ordered a pressure plate and stock disc with a lightened flywheel. Good way to go.

Pressure plate lists for about 452 (H-021) Check with Import Development. Don't pay ACT for a disc, use the factory or go with a STAR setup (clutch/pp), check with Bulletproof. Lots of lightweight flywheels. Toda, spoon, comptech, etc.....

I've included a lot of information here:
http://www.importdevelopment.net/s2000/clutch.php

and I second Sideways' recommendation not to go w/a act disk. I sell a lot of star units, and its what I recommend as well.

I think you'll be fine with a Stage II in Kevlar/Kevlar. That's what I recommend for most drivers. It doesn't matter if the car is supercharged/turboed or not, its usually driver dependent whether or not they should venture into the stage III realm in either flavor.

Lightened PP - I say "why not" especially if you go ahead and get a lightweight flywheel. I have some of those listed up as well.

Feel free to pm with questions if you have any regarding the clutch setup.
