You should start a new thread as your topic is beyond the boundaries of the original question here.

Still no before and after Dyno's showing more than a 45% increase!

Showing a couple of after Dyno's on the same machine proves nothing, other than the Dyno was probably way out of calibration, or the operator was generous with his variables.

To get back to the point, if the gains you guys are talking about were achievable, don't you think Comtech & Vortech would be shouting it form the roof tops?

I rest my case!

There is one thing those two dyno proves (and it was proven with all the NA cars we dynoed that night too): all cars are not created equal - there can be some big differences in what power output each S2000 is capable of (including how they are treated by their owners), and I think the variable is multiplied when you switch to FI. In the NA cars the differences were within about 10 - 15 hp of one another.

On the 2004 Vortech kit they added an additonal injector on the power cooler for this. There are a number of other changes in the 2004 kit such as smaller pully, and different electronics.
Can anyone confirm this? pics? I've never seen this before...

The following mentions something about a "supplemental fuel injector":

Unfortunately, no picture is available.

I will take the install manual to work tomorrow and scan the pages as well as take some photos. I do not plan to use this additional injector as I will be going with the AEM EMS. Also, when I last talked to Vortech two weeks ago, they asked if I had installed it. No is the answer and they said good, there are problems with the ECU and I should expect to have it replaced. Still not an issue for me, but FYI.

Back to subject:

If you go with the stock install as I did, you do not need any additional equipment.

You may find your clutch will need replacing after a while depending on t's age and how you use the car. Mine started to slip after about 3,000 K's with the SC but it had already done 45,000k's before the SC was fitted.

I would aviod using the extra power for sustained high speed driving and limit to short bursts of excelaration. I blew my engine on a return trip from Italy whilst doing 270KPH.

If you try to attempt a lot of drag starts (clutch dumps) you might blow the differential, so if this is your intention you should think about upgrading it.

If you go for more power >325 RWHP you should think about strengthening the whole drive train.
This is the kind of stuff that scares me!
