Default Adhesive for soft top seal?

After finding a puddle under my driver's seat, I found one of the soft top seals (front seal by driver's side window) was loose. I tried pushing it on tighter, but it still leaks when I wash my car. Is there some kind of adhesive, or silicone, glue, etc. I'm supposed to use when reattaching the seal?? Any help would be appreciated, I'd really like to wash my car without having a puddle underneath my seat.

A very good adhesive that works well on rubber and metal that is clear, flexible, waterproof is E6000.

Great stuff.
