Default Adjustable Camber

I've been told by a couple people that the S has adjustable camber from the factory to +/- 3 degrees. Can anyone veryify this? And is it something your average alignment shop should be able to accomplish? I lowered my S last August. Soon after I took it to an alignment shop that told me the alingment was fine even after lowering it. Now however, I have chewed through a set of tires very quickly due to the camber...the wheels are toed out...and I want to get that corrected. What will this take?

Yes the camber is adjustable.

Don't take it back to that shop. Find an above average alignment shop.

Toe eats tires much more than camber.

I thought that "toed" simply decribed the camber. Am I really talking about two different things...?

there's 3 different things on alignment.

toe, caster, and camber. toe is NOT the same as camber.

camber determines if the wheel leans in or out

toe determines if the wheel points in or out

caster is the angle of the steering pivot

Then mine is an issue with negative camber. The rears are wearing evenly, but the front tires are wearing drastically on the inside of the tire. Which brings me back to the original question...can this be fixed by your average alignment shop?

there is nothing wrong with your alignment. don't try to "fix" it. our cars COME this way. you are supposed to have negative camber.

sure you can dial it out, but this will drastically affect the handling characteristics of the car. there's nothing wrong, so don't try to fix it.

Don't fix what ain't broke. If anything, there is something not quite right about your rear alignment. They normally would also wear unevenly. The fact that they are not, should tell you they need to be looked at.

If your tires are directional, swap the front tires side to side by having them dismounted from the wheels. If not, then just take the wheels off the car and swap them yourself.
