Default Advice for Lowering S

Hey guys. newbie at lowering but anyways..
just wondering if you guys could give me advice on lowering my S.
Most people i've talked to so far tell me to go with coilovers, and i want them too. But currently they are a little out of my price range but i really wanna lower my car within the next month or so
What do u guys think of just buying springs to lower my S. I was planning H and R race or sport springs. (something like that at least). I heard from some ppl when i did that to my old prelude that it hurts the car if i dont' get shock and other stuff (not sure what) to compliment the springs?
I do'nt want to mess around with handling on my S, and i don't want problems in the long run either. I just want to lower my car to look good
What do u guys think?
anything i should look out for?
thx for ur help!

Apparently lowered stooks are incredibly tail happy. Maybe this can be over come with good driving but I would presonally be worried about it in daily driving, especially in the rain and what not. Just a thought.

If you know you're going to get coilovers in the future, then don't waste money on springs. If you just want the looks, get KG/MMs. They give you the look without sacrificing performance like many other springs do.

A couple months ago I got the Eibach Pro Kit springs for my daily driver. It's my only car and I use it for work which is mainly city and highway driving. The ride is barely different from stock IMO. I'm very happy. You have to be a little careful coming in and out of incline/declines but nothing major. I took it on a 12 hour drive with about 8 other s2ks Saturday. Lots of twisties, hills, etc. No problems. Bumped slightly about two times but I was doing about 50 in a 30 coming out of dip in the road. The look is incredibly better too. Everyone noticed!

03- I forget the exact cost but it was less than $300 for the springs. You can get them from tirerack.com if you have someone that can install for you. I had a local shop do it and EVERYTHING including the springs was right at $400. I then took it to another speciality shop to have the alignment checked for about another $75. Just make sure they are extra extra careful because some of these discount places rush or have poor equipment and will scratch your rims. After the money I spent on the Works I'm the pain in the butt guy that watches every move. They do a good job I'm their best friend including sending lots of other biz, tips, whatever. If they mess up...ohh boy...Houston we have a problem.

Enjoy. It'll be worth your work on research, etc. It was in my case. I'm very happy.
