Default AEM CAI Install help

The installations that came with the device are unlegible. MacGyver has a good sight, but I still have a hard time understanding what hose gets connected to what (but I credit him for a decent attempt). I have the splash guard off and trimmed as per MacGyver instructions, and am about to cut the wheel well opening for the filter.

Assuming this part goes well, I am still completely loss on reconnecting the hoses. I dont know a solenoid from a manifold from a valve, but I'm willing to learn. Does anyone have any insight to share? I hear that the install is easy, but its nothing like the STB or X-brace install. Help! My HEAD hurts!

Cheers,
Edward

PS - I got the CAI cause my neighbour just got a Lotus Twin-turbo Esprit V-8 and he promises to kick my ass. Oh yeah, Lotus hasn't won an F1 race since Senna won in Detroit in 1987 (I was there). If I can stay close to him in the beginning, I will try to take him out before he starts pulling ahead. Let's win for team Honda!

You should be able to trace those vacuum lines and confirm the white check valve orientation with this:

No I don't think I'll beat him. My goal is to keep it close so that when the speeds get high I can take us both out, thus getting a draw. My only real hope is that the Lotus will break down at/near the start.

He's English and I'm a Yellow-trailer Park Trash American , so I think its safe to say he's the superior driver. Please, no flames.

Xviper and MacGyver have been a great help hand holding me. I'm very grateful - would have aborted a long time ago if not for them. The instructions that came with AEM are poor.

It sounds great at VTEC, almost too nice as I can't stand backing off, but that's not practical of course.

Cheers!

When connecting the vacuume lines just remember they go in a complete circle, at least that's what I noticed when I reconected my hose's after drawing a digram from my friends intake. Super Autobach installed mine and had it all backwards plus they kept the instructions, that was a bitch.

Check Xviper's site,
http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showt...threadid=105368

plus this tid bit of info will help.

Connect using 5/16" tube from a brass-coloured sprout attached to the first plenum (near where the front driver side corner of the red engine cover meets the lower half) TO
sprout on at 7 O'clock near the butterfly valve of the throttle body.

I didn't get any diagnostic lights, so I believe I'm set. Just completed it this morning.

Good luck.
