I doubt its worth it. You have to check your air fuel ratio to see where you are.

With a header and exhaust, you could probably get an extra 15-25 hp out of it with the EMS (depends on how well your car ran before), not to mention the added benefit of smoother accel and idle (if tuned properly).

Don't forget, in addition to the $1000+ you're spending for the EMS, you'll probably spend the same again for tuning it all.

Surely the base maps for an NA setup are good enough that they wouldn't take THAT much tuning, right? I can't see why AEM wouldn't have the thing tuned well enough that it would at least run like the OEM ECU.

I started a thread regarding people sharing their existing base MAP's N/A & FI for other guys to use for a better starting point for tuning, but not many people were interested!?!?!?!

I'm getting an AEM EMS after christmas and would find any help more than useful, I even posted in the AEM thread in the stickies at the top, but the guy from Horsepower freaks didn't reply!!!

That seems like a very high increase estimate. Do you have experience with that large of a gain, and are you counting on I/H/E tuned for peak power? I would have guessed that only half of that is available while maintaining safe A/F ratios and timing curves.
