Default AEM installation.

The search feature is currently down but I'd like some help. What are the requirements for installation, removal of front bumper, special drilling / cutting? Any pics would be appreciated. After reading post praising the AEM it seems like the CAI for me. I just would like to know what I'm in for before I buy it.

Thanks in advance.

It is not absolutely necessary to remove the front bumper to do this install. You can do it from above and below. You need to unfasten the corner belly pan plastic that is under the compartment where the filter goes (behind the fake duct on the passenger side). You will have better access if you remove the front right wheel. The first pipe comes out of the throttle body and then bends down in front behind the radiator. The next pipe connects to this pipe and runs along the bottom just below the rad and parallel with the rad. You will have to cut through the plastic so the pipe can exit into the wheel well. It then immediately does a right angle turn forward so you need to cut another whole so the pipe can go into the space behind the fake duct. This is where the filter lives. I may also be helpful to remove on of the fans.
Take careful note of where the vacuum lines connect to. If you reverse them, your CEL will come on.

Yes, AEM comes in 2 pieces of tubing. Somewhere on this forum is a complete AEM install thread with pics and everything but with the search down, I can't find it for you. Wait till it's back up and try then. The new search function is supposed to be much better.
The pic in this thread may give you some idea of what it looks like. Sorry, that's the best I can come up with right now.
