i know in one case even with the bypass it suck so much water killed the engine...i guess as long you dont hit a puddle i guess your fine... but honestly take it off.. just get a comtech or any other than aem ...

in my experience, you're fine if you hit puddles. puddles aren't a problem...it's only when you try and cross a river (mid-wheel high water that submerges the filter) that you'll have a problem. which is what i went through.
luckily i got away with a spark plug and oil change, but it coulda been a lot worse. also, i am keeping the V2 on my car.

^^ would it have made a difference if they had a V2 rather than a V1? since i've had mine on (late summer), i've driven through downpours and through lots and lots of snow. the car's also sat in all-day rain outside while i was at work, and started up fine. chicago's had some crazy weather in the last few months. haven't had any problems except for when i stupidly tried to make it through a flooded area.
