Default AEM UEGO

I've had a UEGO for a while with my aem ecu but just got around to putting them in and getting it tuned.

When I bought them I knew that the two sensors I recieved weren't great, if working at all, and expected to replace them. My friend had a sensor around for a different wideband and said that it might work with the UEGO. What I planned on doing was cutting the wires and attaching them to the old connector because the new sensor does not have a connector that will work. Will this work or do I need to go purchase the correct sensor?

The new sensor from my friend has a number on it that compares to the others but is not the same. The identification number, or so I figure, is 0 258 007 206. The new sensor has an ID number of 0 258 007 057/058.

So what does everyone think? I would much rather use this sensor to save the 80 bucks but otherwise I really don't have a choice do I. Thanks

every aem is designed and calibrated with specific sensor

the other sensor may work well or it may work but gives you the wrong reading. Your best bet is to check with aem's techs

The AEM sensor has a laser etched resistor on it's connector. I'd say it's best to use the AEM one.
