Default AEM V2 fitted, dodgy sound is this normal?

Hi there

Got my AEM V2 fitted yesterday and it was nice and sunny so had the roof down and the sound was awsome, however today an m8 pointed out that the car was making a strange noise, we only noticed it because we were in a tunnel.

The noise may have been there yesterday but I never noticed it, however this morning I drove to work and noticed nothing all was fine, but I did have the roof up and windows closed as it was raining. Anyway we noticed it this evening and it sounds like a humming noise, only noticable when idling and ideally only when under cover as in a garage etc.

Anyway I gets home lifted the bonnet had a listen around and the noise is definetely coming from the intake pipe around where the filter is. It does not seem to be engine noise, just intake noise as reving the engine and you cannot hear this humming.

So my question is:-
Is it normal to get a humming sound coming from the cone filter area with a CAI kit?, when I mean humming it does not sound like intake noise but actual humming, oh and it is not the radiator fans.

Any help please, just a little worried. I am assuming if I had taken in water the engine would perform badly or just not work, wheras the engine seems to be running perfect, just this damn humming noise scaring me.

Thanks!

My v1 does it, too. Kind of annoying. I don't know why it does it, my Prelude intake didn't do it.

I have the same humming noise. I think it's the trademark of that intake. You'll get used to it.

Could it be a slight rattling noise? You might want to double check the bolt near the filter.

Sheesh!

Thanks for the relief, guess I'll just get used to it then.

Apart from that it sounds awsome, below VTEC point it sounds like a big V8 roaring away and in VTEC mode it sound like some kind of racing motorbike/car hybrid, gotta love the sound.

I am amazed by how LOUD just an intake has made my car, I've already scared several pedestrians and cars I've caught up, its actually quite funny
What scares me is how loud the car is going to be when I get an uprated exhaust system fitted.
