Default aftermarket fuel pump

Anyone out there using an aftermarket fuel pump. I was looking for an in tank 255lph unit. I believe the Walbro unit might work, but has anyone out there tried the unit. Also does anyone know what the stock flow rate is. I tried in the Helms spec sect but it has some strange number 11lmh?? If you have tried the Walbro pump is there any fabrication needed? I know stock flows enough to support 400hp at the flywheel, but I will be slightly above that, so I want to play it as safe as possible in order to avoid the system running lean. I have already contacted Comptech, who has a unit flowing 209lph with thier supercharger application. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The Comptech SC comes with the Walbro pump. It directly replaces the original.

BUT, the install is an absolute bugger. It would have to be the hardest part of the Comptech SC install.

What's the recommendation on the Ultimate Racing Turbo Kit? I want to do boost upgrade, but unsure of what actual fuel pump for s2000. Model #, brand, and etc. would be helpful.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but this thread will benefit all others as well.

Just FYI on the fuel pump swap procedures if you don't already have it.

Thanks Marcus for the details that helps a great deal, any idea what is the rate of the stock unit I still have to find this value in the Helms manual.

AusS2000, any details on what makes this install so difficult so I can begin to prepare myself. You input is greatly appreciated.

The stock pump does not support 400 at the fly wheel. I blew my motor with 308hp at wheels add 17% and it will give you fly wheel..

The hard part of the job that you don't see in the instructions is access. You will be kneeling on your seats with the centre console between your legs with your head and one arm in the rear parcel shelf. You need to pop put several plugs then remove the rear parcel strip (easy) then once you get the parcel shelf loose you have to finagle it out. All this without scratch/cutting your rear window, roof, or face.

Once you've done that you have to disassemble the tank access port. Eight small bolts, all of which want to drop down inside the cavity between the tank and body work never to be seen again.

All I can say is: make a booking with your chiropractor before hand.
