thats a good impact gun. I have the 2135ti and it will snap off crank puller bolts and axle nuts with no problem

4.5 gallon definately wont be powering the 2135 anywhere near its potential. i've got a 5 gallon compressor and at max psi output its really only good for some basic stuff, definately wont be pulling off any crank pulley bolts with that sucker. To get the crank pulley bolt off i had to use a shop sized compressor with a giant impact gun to get the kind of air needed to run the thing

I just bought a 15 gallon 215 psi Dewalt at Home Depot for about the same price. Rated 5.4 SCFM @ 90 psi. Most impact tools are suppose to run at no more than 90 psi or you will blow the seals out. I believe the trick is to get a bigger tank so the compressor will not keep coming on. Also you will need a water separator, found one at sears. I am not an expert on flows but it does everything I need it to. I wish I would have bought one years ago. Here is a picture of my set up.

its not about tank size people. its about SCFM output.

i have a 5 gal that has a 6.5CFM @ 90 PSI and it makes just about every impact gun thump

cfn is very important but so is tank size. Your compressor is gonna be running non-stop tryin to fill that tank. I have an 80 gallon compressor so I have no issues, but 4.5 gallons isnt much at all.
