Air in cooling system
Well I have gone from a stock intake to AEM to Comptech CAI back to Stock then to Comptech CAI.
I have had to remove that coolant line that goes from the head to the TB about 4 times now.
I did lose a bit of coolant from the overflow tank...about an inch.
Does removeing and replacing this hose introduce air into the system?
I have had zero problems but am paranoid as I may be going to yet another intake.
Does it matter?

I didn't realize that you had to remove any coolant lines when doing a CAI. When you disconnect this line, does coolant actually dribble out? Sorry I can't give you an answer to your specific problem but it would seem to me that if you lose a bit of coolant and the coolant overflow goes down an equivalent amount, then the system is taking care of itself. Just bring the bottle level back up with more coolant. If you lose coolant and the overflow bottle doesn't change level, then you might have a problem of air being trapped in the system in whick case there are "bleed" proceedures that are outlined in the Helm manual for those occasions like when you are flushing and changing coolant.
Coolant sure does "dribble" out all over the place. Then it stinks for a day or two.

Yes you will introduce some air but it is minimal. The air "burps" out after a few minutes of driving. Not an issue and not to worry
. Just make sure your hoses are secure and your not loosing fluid through the connections. Removing and replacing lines may stretch them (especially when you need to "help" them off) a bit so keep your eye on them for a bit.

I am thinking about going with the stock airbox with a K&N filter and an IDI or spoon CA extension.
The resonance the comptech causes at 4500rpms buzzes my rearview mirror and bothers me...alot.

Argetni, you are one of the few people who have had this kind of experience with a multitude of intakes. Would you be good enough to detail your impressions and/or any hard data on each of them? I, for one, would be very interested to hear how each one differs in terms of installation, performance, good and bad points, etc. An intake comparo by the same person on the same car would be rare and quite useful.
