Default Air filter question

I have a 04 that is bone stock and will reamain that way, my question... is there

any advantage to using a aftermarket filter. Mabey better gas milage ??

Actually if there's a change in mileage, it'll likely be for the worse! More airflow means that to keep the mixture from going lean, more fuel must be added.

The advantages are, a smidge more power and not having to worry about the filter as often... ie. taking it out and cleaning it every 60000miles or so...

is there any advantage to changing the stock filter to the comptech filter?
whats the recommendation to change the stock one at? i think the manual says 15k

It might be just me but the trottle response with my comptech filter seems a little better.

The only thing is you have to clean it, which is not that bad.
