AIR FUEL RATIO AT 10.0?
I have just finished my Turbo build GTX3076R
I'd1300
Walbro 400lph
Aem v2
Aem air fuel guage. Here's my problem.
After I uploaded my Base tune I started the car idles great and revves smoothly but my o2 is reading 10.0 at idle. I've been in contact with my tuner and tried diffent things he even sent me a tune that uses 30% less fuel that brought my afr to about 12.0 However car idles and revves terribly. I purchased a new o2 spark plugs put my stock FPR on and no matter what we try it dose not seem to help. Before I installed the motor I had a shop install retainers and keepers timing is right but I'm not sure about the valve lash they said they set them but not sure to exact specs used. anyone have experience with this? Tuners not sure what to do without having the car. I have a tune date for the spring due to work any insight would be greatly appreciated Thanks

When you speak of your o2, are you referring to your AEM wideband? If so, have you tried re-calibrating the sensor, I hadn't re-calibrated mine after the initial break in period and found that my AFR reading was about 2 off. After re-calibrating it it was fixed and all is well.

I have the same gauge, and there's a procedure to check it in the manual. It can't be adjusted, but that's not the goal here.
Does it feed into your engine management, and is that info used for closed loop fuel control?

It is connected to the ecu via C16 lambda. As far as the loop I'm not sure how can I tell?, this a base tune was sent from my tuner. He also said I should remove my oem o2 sensors so I only have my wideband and my other bung plugged <--- is this correct? My new aem 304110 came today I'll hook it up and see what happens.
