Air Pump Question

Default Air Pump Question

Is the air pump nessesary to the car operating properly? Asside from emmisions? Does the air pump run all the time or is it only used durring cold start?

Mine was damaged durring accident. I just want to delete it if its possible?

You can remove it but you can not get rid of the CEL.

It is only an emissions thing for cold starts only, but you will have a CEL if you remove it.

I've started it up several times without the pump, and no engine light.... Does it take a while for it to come on?

It will come on after a few heat cycles.
