Air pump removal DIY?

I don't know of one on here.
However, removing it isn't hard and can be knocked out in a few hours.
Remove the whole air pump assembly along with the solenoid that is located underneath the driver side headlight which obviously requires for you to remove the front bumper. Zip tie the connectors to the body so they aren't dangling. There will be 2 long vacuum tubes that come from the air pump through the side of the driver side engine bay to the air pump valve located on the intake manifold and the other one runs to the air box. The tube running to the air pump valve is held down with 2 10mm bolts and it's a bit of a challenge to loosen them, but it can be done. Just soak them in some penetrating lube before attacking them. S2KPuddydad makes a great block-off plate for the air pump valve. And to clear the CEL, you will need Izze's air pump simulator. Good luck.

You DO NOT have to remove the front bumper for the air pump. Just removed mine yesterday.
I had the car on 4 jackstands from tranny/diff fluid change.
Take off the plastic cover underneath bumper, use a 10mm for the bracket and a 12mm wratcheting wrench. The lines weren't fun to remove. The rest is self explanatory just follow the lines from the block off plate.
