Default Air Vent Position Problem

Hey guys,

It has been raining like crazy recently. I have an issue that I need help with.

Well, my front windshield has been fogging up really bad and I realized that I had a problem just the other day when it was raining. I found that I wasn't able to control where the air was supposed to be blowing to. I am not sure what the name of the knob is, but I will just call it the "air vent controller" located right above the "AC" button (inside an AP1). It controls where the AC or heat is blowing to, for example, directly towards the driver and passenger or to defrost the windshield.

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could start to find a solution to this problem. I would do a search on s2ki, but I don't know the proper name for the "air vent controller". Any help would be appreciated. BTW this is a serious problem as I had to drive to work in the rain the other day with the windshield completely fogged up,it was very scary trying to make the road out.

Symptoms:
- The air is currently stuck in the setting where it is blowing directly towards the driver and passenger. (The problem isn't that the knob is stuck, as I can twist it around)
- I have tried switching the position of the "air vent controller" knob, but it still is stuck in the position above.
- The AC and the heater is still working, both in low and high setting.

Thanks Guys!
