Default all of a sudden my clutch is different?

i did my oil change one day, then that same day went to a homegurls party and got lil buzzed, drove home safely and slowly, no driving like a dumbass etc, knocked out, next day drive my car, my clutch feels so wrong.. i thought to myself, maybe its juss my shoes or lil hang over making me think it..

it feels alot more spongy, it catches at the VERY beginning versus the very end how it usually did before,

next few days it gets worse? now my shifter feels like it needs more force to switch inbetween gears??

how the hell out of no where can my clutch change like that so much??

MY00 AP1 . OEM clutch ~ 110k miles.

the only thing i can think of is maybe when i was driving home, i ran over a piece of wood about 2 inches high on the freeway, it hit my lip, but i doubt it would hit anything else under there.. but i dont even remember if that happened on the same day or not..

(this is all about from last week)

what can be the problem? my clutch doesnt feel right at all, it catches at the VERY beginning, ie u step clutch down, u have to gas it right away and let go of the clutch barely to catch it..

check your clutch fluid first off. I couldnt see the fluid going bad in a matter of days though, maybe it finally just got to the point of you being able to tell a difference. Does the clutch or tranny sound abnormal?

my clutch catch early and even the mechanic guy says I need some adjustments on the clutch but i'm short so i learn to compromise my driving habit lol. there hasn't been any difficulties as far as maintenance is concern so you shouldn't worry too much. I bought this used so the difference arent that bad for me.

na , this is abornamlally early, trust me its not normal at all.. like right when u press it, the very instant u lift it like a milimeter, thats where it grabs.. im afraid its not even fully disengaing ? , its making my 2nd gear grind sometimes too..

imma check my clutch resovoiur fluid, but i checked it when id id oil change and it was good, but maybe its time for a tranny flush?

its a normal problem lets just say that check the fluid in the top right reservoir. it may be low, i added some brake fluid when this exact same thing happened to me and it cleared up. you need to flush the fluid and bled the line. usually when you dont change the fluid it gets really dirty and causes leaks and will cause your exact problem. i had this problem like 4 months ago and now im completly good and havent had any problems since.

or you can have a leak in the tranny seal and actual oil will get to the surface of the disc.

at 110k, i think your clutch is on the last leg consider it's a timely repair(if you drive like most s2ki.com drivers do)

well judging by what you said i had the same exact problems as you and i just got it flushed and filled and bled it. then it worked perfect. i have 67000. when i happened to me the clutch went really soft and i couldnt get in 1st barely 2nd and i couldnt get it in reverse without extreme force. but all is well now

bleed your clutch.

you will show signs of a leak in the master cylinder and most mechanics will want you to replace the master cylinder.

but before you do that, just bleed the clutch first and that should fix the problem.

and keep drinkin that alcohol!!! but without the driving.

hope you get your clutch issue fixed. on another note, don't drive even when you're just "buzzed." if you think you're just "buzzed," call a cab, hitch a ride home with a friend, or at least crash on your friend's couch for a few hours. after all is said and done, a DUI in many states can end up costing you about $10,000 after fines and crap, not to mention your insurance will probably triple for at least 3 years, and sometimes as many as 5 or 7.

the fact that you don't even really remember running over a 2"x4" kind of tips me off that you were more than "buzzed." you're lucky you didn't run over something else.

protect yourself, your car, and others and don't drive drunk. wow, i sound like a commercial.

that $10k is no joke though; i've had several friends go through that.
