Hey guys, I don't know the name of this piece, but its the one that the vac lines from your intake manifold run into. I snapped a pic of it below and compared it to another pic that I saw on here and it looks different. Does anyone know if I am missing something here or is this normal?

Any ideas here? I just started up my car and got a CEL. I need to order a code reader before I can pull the code, but I just figured that this might have something to do with it. Any ideas?

 

Yes, that is exactly what you are missing, that black piece on top. I just ran out and checked mine.

I would guess it's a pressure switch but i'm not sure. Either way that would be my guess as to the check engine light.

 

yup, your missing the cap...

i don't think they sell the cap alone... i remember that sensor was like $100.... good luck finding a used sensor or a cap.

 

I might have a spare laying around......

The part you are missing is part of the "air control solenoid valve." I looked, but couldn't find the part number for it in the Helms manual.

I have the black CAP but my CEL came on...

 

same thing happened to me they cost $55 or so dollars from honda, or $ 20 from a part out. I would get that part asap.

 

its just a cap, cant you just jam something on that nipple?
