Thumbs up Amuse R1000 + Header?

Since this topic has never been covered before. I know that Gioire and MXT 77 are a few of the members who has an R1000 headerback but never spoke about which header they are using.

My question is ... What other headers bolt-on to the R1000 as it's a 70mm sized pipe or there's no problem with using any type/make out there when the size is tapered small to large?

I'm using the Toda header w/ mine. Since the Toda header fits with the stock catalytic converter, and since the Amuse R1000 fits with the Toda header, I'd assume that the R1000 will work with the stock header or any other compatible header (Mugen/Amuse/DC Sports/etc).

Thanks MXT 77, that's the answer I'm looking for.

It's primarily for further weight reduction. My current Spoon headers, CWest test pipe and JDM Apexi N1 catback is about 125dBs. I don't think the Amuse R1000 would be much louder, but I won't know until I have it tested on.

I expect the R1000 will be comparable to your current setup, if you're already running an N1 type exhaust w/ a test pipe. The measurement that I've seen for the R1000 is about 125dB max. With the top down, it's almost bearable for about 5 miles, but with the top up, my ears are numb by the time I get out of the parking lot... so now I wear hearing protection. How uncool is that... cruising down the road w/ ear plugs in? The good news is that I can still hear the radio with them in.

That's not very loud then, acceptable. I hope the extra 10mm gain in size, straighter pipe and no resonator will show some gains.

Try a hardtop, you'd be able to drive with the roof up much much better. The soft-top is a killer to sound. For some reason, it actually amplifies the sound running through the entire car. Luckily my hearing is still perfect.

Thanks for your response.
