Default Another engine tick

It's been about 4 months since I had a ticking sound similar to this. All I had to do was replace the timing chain tensioner and it was gone. Seeing that it has only been 4 months, could the tct possibly be the problem again???

BTW this is the sound I'm hearing

Thanks!

perhaps its loose valves. try a valve adjustment.

otherwise, try sandblasting the worm gear in the TCT.

thanks for the advice. I'm going to check to see if the tct is torqued down properly and if that doesn't fix it I'll go with the valve adjustment.

I'd do the valves 1st...it sounds like valves not the TCT.

i don't think torquing down the tct has anything to do with it, assuming the bolts are not blatantly loose

well the tct was bolted down just fine... surprise surprise
I am having the valves adjusted tomorrow and have a tct from htg on the way just in case. Hopefully that will fix things.

well the valve adjustment didn't fix the problem. Hopefully the tct is what's wrong...
