Default Another Misfire Thread

Having a misfire ise with my 02. Has 136k on it and has had this issue for about a month now. So far I've tested battery voltage, cleaned my MAP, ran engine treatment though it, replaced plugs with the OEM ngks, tested compression, and had my valves adjusted. No luck. Stutters and misfires at idle/low rpm. After testing my injectors I noticed volts to them hit zero after a rev and the car nearly dies. I'm putting her up for the winter and fixing the summer issues. Would love to hear more ideas from you so far the misfire thread isn't doing me any good. Thanks for the look!

Either that, or does it make a weird burbling noise at idle? My car did this and it was a leaking injector o-ring... you could see more dust collected around one injector than the others.

Everyone always says coil packs but I feel like people should be looking more at injectors, especially in the cases where people experience the misses/stumbling at idle.

I mean the coil packs seem to be fairly new Densos all injectors show same ohms. Has misfire 1-4, no idea what it is. Compression isn't great 180~ but there is no huge jumps between each cyl. Don't really want to blow a bunch of money chasing this issue.

Denso replacements have stickers on them...original Denso just have the engraving...you think they have been replaced already?

Also...compression numbers, do you have the exact readings? What brand compression guage did you use? Some brands are known to read much lower than others...usually (not always) the variation between cylinders would be more of a concern

Comp is around 1400 kpa (no huge drops) Not really even completely warm either. Injectors look to be engraved, coils have stickers. Worth my time to just have a Honda tech look at it?

Get an 04-05 S2000 coilpack from Autozone, they are Densos.

Did you check the gapping on the oem plugs. I had a buddy recently with the same problem and his oem plugs were not gapped properly causing his misfire. Something to check that won’t cost you a dime and if not, I would also look over the injectors to make sure there’s not any leaks. Just a suggestion, hope you get this sorted out.
