Default Another PO411

Ok so I have a code po411 Secondary Air Injection Incorrect Flow. But the car is bone stock, no CAI. I've checked all of the vacuum lines and they appear to be right. The check valve is right and I cant find any cracks or leaks. When the engine is cold is the only time it will throw a code, I can reset when warm and no CEL, but it returns on the first cold start. The air pump will kick on and run for 10-15 seconds when cold, then kick off and the CEL will pop on. I believe it to be the vacuum solenoid valve or whatever its called, Ive heard like 5 names for it. But I was hoping for some other input before I change it.

FYI that is P0411 not PO411. Had you got that right, a search would have presented the anwser you seek.

Oops about the typo.

But as for the link, I have followed the instructions. I have checked and rechecked everything multiple times I cant seem to find anything wrong with the lines they are all just like in the pictures.

But thanks for the help, Im just discombobulated now.

Normally this can be fixed by swapping the two vac lines that connect to the sensor. You know the sensor mounted by the airbox

I think Ive tried that before. I tried it again anyway and I still got a code again. Do you think its possible that the valve/sensor has gone bad?

Yes.

If all hoses are connected, then it would be switching valve that is the "weak" spot. Since lines can only be disconnected or torn, your analysis of them tells us that they are neither.

VSVs do go bad (I sold 2 VSVs at my dealership today for Camrys), and they are wear and tear parts. I don't know the exact name of the valve on the airbox with the cyl. on top of it, but I would start investigating that part.

Hollywood I am having the same problem, I am about to change the valve. I have triple checked everything and the last thing to replace is the valve. I have the identical symptoms.
