Default Another secret compartment?

I've been wrestling with this thing for the past hour, almost to the point of using "extreme force", what is the trick to opening this thing? Does it hinge from the top? The bottom? I have tugged on this from all possible angles to no avail.

My fuse box adjacent to the hood release tab. The owners manual says to turn the latch at the lower end of this pane, but it does'nt budge after I do that. My S is 06.

Funny I will have to look at an 06, every other car I have seen has the fuse box under the dash just above the panel you are talking about. Is your car RHD or LHD (us) ?

The diagram for the fuse box is located on the kick panel, the actual fuse box is located above the kick panel (with no cover on it).

stick your head under the dash... now turn your head 180 like your looking at the dash from underneath. Your fuse box is right there. its NOT behind the kick. Only the ECU is behind the kick.

I agree. That is where I have always found it and the cars are basically the same with only minor changes

It should be right above where you release the hood, clear as day. No cover, no nothing. Get your head wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy under there.
