I always install the lock in the same position that it came off - oposite the valve stem. I have not had any vibration issues in 32K mile.

If you guys are worried about this, why not install ALL lugs to be lock nuts?

It might be a small hassle/little big expensive, but why not?

I rock my car with no locks. If they want my rims so bad, locks or not they'd take it.

What I got from this calculation is that wheel locks contribute very little to wheel vibration (equal to a pebble)
