Any diff failures with LE-607?

cdelena, shattered pinion just for running r-comps on the street? thats not too extreme of a condition to shatter a pinion do you think?
i'm curious as to what caused negcambers failure...

I'd only been running the LE607 for a couple days. The diff problems started while on vacation. I changed the diff oil while away to see if there were chunks or shavings in the oil (was clean). I was hoping if there wasn't metal in the oil, then the car would make it home.
Carrier end cap failed. Definitely wasn't oil related. The car had had Mobil 1 90wt prior.

anyone notice the failure trend......
car not able to soak up the shock load, IE not enough weight transfer or clutch hitting too hard. hmm, seems all the pinion failures are AP1 related, or am i on crack. ive noticed this since day 1. see my diff, in the pics. (failed torsen thread) the parts that fail on Ap1's are perfect. i found the real weak link, the torsen parts. and they held up very well considering.
the moral of the story is,,,, soften your rear, or add a CDV. try both. if you wanna save lots of $$ and time.

Eh...the CDV blows. I'd rather budget rebuilding/replacing the diff every 5-7years instead of putting a CDV in the car.
But if it is the Torsen causing the pinion failures and not the carrier caps (which is what appears to have happened with my car...but who knows...maybe the LSD failing caused the cap and pinion to break)...but if it is the Torsen, then next failure I'll change to a different LSD...Quaife or something.
