Tried to install a gendron sway bar last weekend. While the right side fit okay there wasn't enough clearance between the sway bar arm and shock to properly attach the end link. There's maybe 3/4" clearance between them right now and you really need 1.5" in order to fit both spacers. I've heard of similar problems but nowhere near this bad. How tight was your clearance and what did you do?
