Default Anyone run with an open header?

how was the performance? how loud is it, does it sound good or bad?

i know its highly illegal but im just curious. i'm guessing that you will most likely lose low end torque but the top end hp increase will be greatly noticable, since there is hardly any backpressure.

same question i wanted to pose. i know there is an issue with wear on the valves but i cannot recall exactly what it may be. i been running open headers for a couple days now. the pull on top end is definatly noticable. im not sure the cons exactly to this "mod" but i would hope a more technically savy member could enlighten us

The folks at Mugen comment "During the test conducted on engine dynamometer, we tried a straight pipe from the catalyzer down and measured an increase of only several horse power output."

I think there are easier and quieter ways to make up 3-4 HP and 50# from an open header.
