Default Anyway of bypassing alternator fuse?

I seem to have a short somewhere in the ACG fuse. Fuse 6 under the dash. It runs a few different components most of which I don't need besides the alternator. So my question is, is there a way of just leaving that fuse out and wiring the alternator another way so that just it functions?? I just need to take care of this before my tuning appointment.

Stupid question but when I probe the side of the fuse location and touch it to ground the circuit is completed on my voltometer. It shouldn't be correct?

Sure, you can bridge across the fuse.

Depending on the underlying problem, the results will range from nothing to your car burning to the ground. Do you feel lucky?

running a jumper with an inline fuse won't effect the car. The fuse won't even be in the fuse holder. I no longer have cruise control or the evap setup that is also hooked into that fuse. What wire would I need to jumper on the alternator?? There are 4 on the clip to the alternator.

Here are the wires that go to the alternator which should be jumped in order to get it working?

"BLK goes to main under hood fuse/relay box
WHT/GRN goes to ECM
BLK/YEL goes to ELD unit and under-dash fuse/relay box
WHT/BLU goes to charging system indicator light bulb

There is also a WHT/RED wire that comes from the ECU. "

Why don't you just fix the short instead of trying to wire around it?

^QFT. It might be easier, safer, and better to trace the short..

I have been trying to find the short. The problem is the alternator wiring assembly goes under and through the rear of the block and up and alot of the wiring I can't get to. I will work on the problem further but if I can't find it I am going to run a +12 lead to the black/yellow and check the voltometer to see if that allows the alternator to produce.

Disconnect the wires and then check for continuity to ground. That will at least narrow it down to one wire.

^ I would love to but I don't have a wiring diagram and most if not all of the things that the fuse is used for are completely removed from the car i.e. cruise contro,l evap, air pump etc.
