is it possible to take everything from an ap2 and put it in an ap1?? reason is because I blew a connecting rod and most likely the motor is gone. i found a donor ap2 06 with good engine but body damage. I'm thinking of swapping everything over. motor vsc etc... sorry for the noob question.

 

yes..it is possible!
i think the chassis is nearly the same..
so far...i only know 2 things you have to modify before putting them all together
the front crash bar have to be shave or cut a bit if you are to use the ap2 bumper
the tail light, i think you have to cut a hole or make it larger..since ap2 taillights are different
you can search the forum..there are a lot of threads talking about the conversion

 

and one more thing..just for a remind
u have to use the ap2 ECU in an AP2 motor too...

 

first of all thanks for ur input. i have a question about the tail light. if the chassis is identical and im switching everything. why won't the tail light work with out mods? sorry im new to the s2k scene

 

The taillights are different so the body cutouts in the chassis are different. No big deal, just need a saw to make the holes bigger.

 

not totally true...you can use an ap1 ecu with an f22c, most use the 00-01 ecus because it runs richer, however, myself and a few other members run the 02-03 ecu solo or with VAFC of some type....
